Calypso is inquisitive and independent. She likes to be nearby the action (guests, dogs, children) but doesn't like to participate. While she likes affection, she doesn't like to stay still on your lap for long. She gets most of that affection through rubbing against my leg while I'm sitting, head bumping my feet and the occasional pat. She does seem to have an affinity for the fairer sex as she has let some of them near and pick her up. At home, she's usually nearby somewhere observing you and wondering what you are up to. She's fairly quiet but will occasionally talk to you or call out to you if you are in another room. Calypso likes her catnip, playing pouncing games and just doing kitty things in general.

Calypso was adopted as a kitten as a friend to Potato. She's 4 years old and in good health. Due to my new job requiring 25-50% overnight travel, I am no longer able to properly care for them. I'm looking for a good home for them individually or together.

Calypso and Potato did well in a 1000 sqft condo but she has been aggressive towards Potato now that they are squeezed into a 600 sqft apartment. She can probably accept another cat with a little work and more room. She's curious towards dogs and stands her ground when they investigate. She should do fine with the friendlier breeds. She does OK with loud noises and children as well. She exhibits very strong prey drive and is a very accomplished pouncer. For that reason, she should be an indoor cat only. She doesn't shed too much and her fur doesn't require much maintenance/brushing.

Calypso is in good health.
